Various types of quizzes is play in the various institutional area. But its very distinguish  to identify that person who raise his/her hand first. Such kinds of problem are solving with the help of this quiz buzzer circuit each group number display. Only first person who press the button is activated and deactivate the other candidates as well as candidates group number is also show on the 7 segment display.

The block diagram of the quiz buzzer is divided into the following section

  1. Input switch
  2. Microcontroller
  3. 7 segment
  4. Buzzer

Input switch

The push to on switch is used to provide the input. Each quiz group of quiz candidates provide the switch to give the authentication and these switches is connected with the microcontroller.

Microcontroller


The microcontroller take the input from the each switch and take the decision that which switch is pressed first and that number is display on the 7 segment display and abide the other users to feed the input. The output of the microcontroller is feed to the 7 segment for the visual authentication as well buzzer also.

7 Segment Display

The 7 segment display is used to display the numeric value. So here 7 segment is used to display the each group number so that anyone can justify that which group press the first among the all switches.

Buzzer

The buzzer is used for the audio acknowledgment. When the switch is pressed at this time buzzer beep and audio acknowledgment achieved.

The circuit diagram of the Quiz Buzzer with 7 Segment Display is divided into the following section

  1. Input switch (Micro-switch)
  2. Microcontroller (AT89S51)
  3. 7 segment (Common Cathode)
  4. Buzzer

Input switch (Micro-switch)

The microcontroller gets the digital logic input and also gives the digital logic output. So here to provide digital logic input we used micro-switch. When the micro-switch is pressed at that time a digital logic input is feed to the microcontroller. For the demo purpose we are using four switches which is connected to the port 1 (pin number 1 to 4) of the microcontroller.

Microcontroller (AT89S51)

The AT89S51 microcontroller is used to display the numeric value as well as it also disable the other user. By the disable the other, it display only that number which pressed first. The microcontroller also activate the buzzer for the sometimes for the audio acknowledgment. To display the numeric number common cathode 7 segment is used which is connected to the port 2 (pin number 21 to 28) of the microcontroller and buzzer is connected to the port 3.0 (pin number 10).

7 segment Display

The common cathode type seven segment is used for the display the numeric number. When the logic high is applied from the microcontroller of the port 2 it glow and shows the desirable number of the display for the visual authentication.

Buzzer

The sound buzzer is used for the audio identification. A piezoelectric buzzer is used for the sound which operated from 2 volt to 25 volt. Hence it connected directly to the microcontroller port 3.0 (pin number 10)
