Definition – What does Artificial Intelligence (AI) mean?
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an area of computer science that focuses on the development of intelligent machines that function and react like humans. Activities for which artificial intelligence computers have been developed include:
- Voice recognition
Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Artificial intelligence is a branch of computer work that aims to create intelligent machines. Now AI is going to be very essential part for the various technological industry.
Artificial intelligence research is highly technical and specialized. Among the major problems of artificial intelligence is the programming of computers for certain functions such as:
- The perception
- Ability to manipulate and move objects
Knowledge Engineering is at the center of AI research. Machines can often behave and react like humans when they are around the world. Artificial intelligence should have access to objects, categories, attributes, and relationships between all individuals to implement knowledge engineering. Using common sense, reasoning and problem-solving in machinery is a difficult and time-consuming task.
Machine learning is also an important element of AI. Learning without supervision requires recognizing patterns in input streams, while learning with proper supervision requires classification and numerical regressions. The classification determines the category to which an object belongs and the regression relates to obtaining a series of examples of digital input or output, whereby functions are discovered for generating suitable outputs from the corresponding inputs. Mathematical analysis of algorithms for machine learning and their performance is a well-defined branch of theoretical computer science, often called computational linguistics.
The perception of the machine is about the ability to use sensory inputs to divert different aspects of the world, while Computer Vision has to analyze visual inputs with certain sub-problems such as facial recognition, objects and gestures.
Robotics is also an important area of AI. Robots need intelligence to perform tasks such as manipulating and navigating objects, as well as secondary location, motion planning and mapping problems.
